Transfer Telephone Numbers from the short-code Memory
With the PC program COMtools you can load short-code numbers from the PBX into the handsets.
(The number of entries depends on the firmware version of the handset.) For this purpose the base
station has to be connected to the PBX.

Open the PC program COMtools telephone book and read the existing telephone book out of
the PBX (File ... Open ... PBX).

Open the page „Global short-code dialling numbers ... Short-code dialing numbers 8600-
8699“ (
pic. 15 on page 32 ) and activate the register card „Phonebook entries for COMfort
DECT“. The columns show the telephone numbers/names that were assigned to the COMfort
DECT subscribers with the configuration program COMset. Here the number of telephone book
entries available for this handset are shown (depending on the software version of the handset).
As the telephone numbers manually entered via local telephone menu into the telephone book
cannot be overwritten by COMtools, the number of entries available for COMtools (available for
PB) is displayed.

For the transmission of telephone numbers into the handsets please select the telephone num-
bers for each handset with a mouse click.

When you are finished with all the settings, write back the telephone book into the PBX (File ...
Save ... PBX).

As soon as you have written the telephone book into the PBX, the PBX starts distributing the
assigned telephone book entries to the corresponding handsets. If a handset is currently not ready
for a data transfer (switched off or out of reach), the PBX tries the next handset after a few minutes
until all data is distributed. During the data transfer (duration: 1-3 minutes) „Transfer ... Please Wait“
is shown on the display.
