control), a mono talkback output, a stereo pre-fade line level headphone
output (not affected by the headphone level control), and a stereo headphone
jack.
Post-fade cue (controlled by the cue level control) feeds the internal
speaker in the meterbridge, and also provides the cue signal used to interrupt
Control Room and headphones, if such interrupt has been enabled by the
installer.
The PGM and AUD buses have separate analog and digital outputs. The
remainder of the console outputs are analog.
Other Features
The console has alphanumeric displays (that is, displays capable of
showing both letters and numbers) at each fader position to indicate the
selected input (or, in the case of the phone faders, the audio going out to the
callers). It also has a pair of LED VU METERS to display the signal level of
the PGM output and a second pair of LED VU METERS to display a second
signal that is selected by the user from the available inputs and outputs. An
event TIMER is present. Additional controls and displays are provided to
enable operation of other console features, and are described in the appropri-
ate sections of the manual.
Some features are mentioned as being under the control of the installer as
to whether or not they are enabled. Check with the person in charge of the
technical side of the console to see which of these features apply to your setup,
and ignore those that don’t apply.
FADER SECTION
Each FADER SECTION is comprised of a SELECT BUTTON, four BUS
ASSIGN BUTTONS (PGM, AUD, MONO1, and MONO2), a CUE BUT-
TON, a four character DISPLAY, a FADER, and ON AND OFF BUTTONS.
[NOTE — This section also refers to the following controls and displays
located in the CONTROL SECTION: CHANNEL DISPLAY, SOURCE
DISPLAY, SELECT KNOB, and ENTER BUTTON.]
Select Button - Selecting an Input for a Fader
Press the SELECT BUTTON. The button lights. In the CONTROL
SECTION the CHANNEL DISPLAY shows “FADER X” where “X” is the
fader number (1-12), and the SOURCE DISPLAY shows the input currently
selected by the fader. The ENTER BUTTON begins to flash. Turn the
SELECT KNOB until the desired input shows in the SOURCE DISPLAY,
then press the ENTER BUTTON (the ENTER BUTTON stops flashing). This
selects the displayed input for the fader. The input also shows in the DISPLAY
for that fader, and the SELECT BUTTON light goes off. If you don’t hit the
ENTER BUTTON or move the SELECT KNOB for ten seconds the select
process will terminate, leaving the selection for that fader unchanged.
NOTE: Operation of the
Phone Section is differ-
ent, and is treated as its
own section later in the
manual.
