BASIC OPERATION
Turning the Unit On/Off
Press
for about one second to turn on the unit. All the indicators and digit display will light momentarily, and a
tone will be heard. The indicator “
” will stay while the unit is turned on. Press
again for about one second to
turn off the unit.

Antenna Position
Your portable cellular telephone is equipped with a dual position antenna system.
This dual position antenna has been especially designed to allow your phone to receive calls while the antenna is down.
However, for optimum performance and signal strength or while operating in poor signal areas, it is recommended that
the antenna be fully extended.
NOTE: The antenna can be used in its fully extended or fully retracted position only.

Receiving Signal Strength Indicator (

The number of shaded blocks indicates the Signal Strength in your area. Four blocks show the maximum level. The
display will vary as you move with the unit. If the signal is not strong enough to place a call, the
indicator will
appear on the readout.

Battery Level Indicator
You can always monitor the current battery voltage level with the constant battery level indicator. The number of blocks
