3. INSTALLATION 

 

1. Install four batteries (not included) 1.5V size AAA into the battery 

compartment and check if they are placed in the right polarity before 
closing the lid of battery compartment. Do not mix old with new 
batteries or Alkaline with Rechargeable batteries. 

2. Connect the line cord. Plug the line cord into the line socket at the 

back of the machine and plug the other end of the line cord into the 
modular wall jack. 

3. Connect your telephone. Plug your telephone set cord into the 

telephone socket at the back of the machine. 

4. Connect the power cord. Plug the power transformer into an electrical 

outlet that is not controlled by a wall switch. 

 
 

4. SELF-CHECKING 

 

Once the machine is connected to the power supply, the ANS LED starts 
flashing and the machine enters the self-checking state. The self-checking 
takes about 15 seconds, a “beep” will be heard and the ANS LED lights up. 
When the battery level is too low (or no batteries into the compartment), the 
BAT LED will be on. 
 

 

5. OPERATION GUIDE 

 

1. Setting the System Date and Time 

Press the “REW” button to hear the current system date and time. 
Keep pressing the “REW” button over 2 seconds and set the time. 
The answering machine will say a weekday, adjust the day backwards by 
pressing the “REW” button and forwards by pressing the “FFW” button, 
confirm by pressing the “PLAY” button. Then, set the hour; use the “REW” or 
“FFW” buttons to adjust and press “Play” to confirm the setting. Then, set the 
minutes; use the “REW” or “FFW” buttons to adjust and press “PLAY” to 
confirm the setting. The answering machine will return to waiting state after 
saying the new set time. 
During the setting, press the “ON/OFF” button to escape and cancel the 
setting, the machine will keep the previous time setting. 
 

2. Recording an outgoing message (OGM)

 

Press the “OGM” button to hear the current outgoing message. 
Keep pressing the “OGM” button over 2 seconds and the ANS LED flashes. 
When a “beep” is heard, speak loud into the microphone to record an OGM 
and press the “ON/OFF” button at the end of the message. The maximum 
recording time for an OGM is two minutes, when going over, the recording 
will stop automatically.
