Notes:
In highly dusty environments, these service intervals
do not apply. Check and/or replace filters and clean
radiator on a regular basis.
(1) Drain and replace after 10.000 hours or 5 years
whichever comes first. Never change the coolant
filter on the engine.
(2) After the first initial 150 running hours it is
required to check/adjust the valve clearance.
When opening the rocker cover it is necessary to
replace the gasket. This gasket can be ordered
with AC partnumber 2914 6978 00.
Valve Clearance:
• Inlet: 0.30
+/-0.05
mm
• Exhaust: 0.60
+/-0.05
mm
(3) Change oil and oil filters after 150 hours.
Oil filters:
• 2 x 2914 9847 00
• 1 x 2914 9603 00
Bad fuel may request earlier change of filters, see
page 81.
(4) More frequently when operating in a dusty
environment. Evacuate dust from the air filter
valve daily.
(5) Use water finding paste 2914 8700 00.
Engine maintenance
Refer to the engine’s operator manual for full
maintenance schedule.
(*) Measuring the alternator
insulation resistance
A 500 V megger is required to measure the alternator
insulation resistance.
If the N-terminal is connected to the earthing system,
it must be disconnected from the earth terminal.
Disconnect the AVR.
Connect the megger between the earth terminal and
terminal L1 and generate a voltage of 500 V. The
scale must indicate a resistance of at least 2 M
Ω
.

Copco Customer Center.
Engine oil specifications
High-quality, mineral, hydraulic or synthesized
hydrocarbon oil with rust and oxidation inhibitors,
anti-foam and anti-wear properties is recommended.
The viscosity grade should correspond to the ambient
temperature and ISO 3448, as follows.
It is strongly recommended to use
Atlas Copco branded lubrication oils.

between -15°C and 40°C PAROIL 15W40
between -25°C and 40°C PAROIL 5W40
