Single Station Installation
To set up a single station installation refer to the diagram below (the numbers
in the diagram correspond with the numbers below), and do the following:
1. Ground the KN9008 / KN9016 by connecting one end of the grounding
wire provided with your switch to the grounding terminal, and the other
end of the wire to a suitable grounded object.
2. Using the console cable provided with your switch, connect a USB or PS/2
keyboard, mouse, and monitor to the KN9008 / KN9016 console port. (See
Console Cable Installation Diagram on the following page.)
3. Use KVM cable sets (as described in the Cables section on page 6), to
connect any available KVM port to the keyboard, video and mouse ports
of the computer you are installing. (See
KVM Cable Installation Diagrams
on the following page.)
4. Plug the power cord supplied with this package into the KN9008 /
KN9016 power socket, then into an AC power source, and power on the
switch.
After all the equipment has been connected up, power on the computers.
