6 Connection Using Ethernet (RJ

45) Ports
Although the Gateway comes with drivers and enabling software, y
ou don’t have to install
and use them if you simply want to connect to the Internet through the Ethernet (RJ-45)
ports, assuming that your Gateway has been activated with the network.
6.1 Configuring your PC
The Gateway
’s Ethernet is configured with DHCP by default. This means that the IP
address of your PC is automatically assigned by the EVDO Gateway. If for some reason,
the PC cannot get an IP address and cannot make connection to Internet, use the
following steps to check the TCP/IP setting of your “Local Area Connection”.
Right click
“My Network Places” of computer desktop.
