CAUTION: When you press RESET, the system begins formatting digital memory.  The

TELEPHONE OPERATION

Making/Answering Calls

To make or answer a call, you can either lift the handset or press SPEAKER.  As you dial a call, the
Message Window displays the telephone number.  To end a call, either return the handset to the base, or if
using speakerphone, press SPEAKER.

Speakerphone

The speakerphone feature lets you place and answer calls without lifting the handset.  The VOLUME
control switch for the speakerphone is located on the top right of the unit.  Slide it to adjust the volume to a
comfortable listening level.

To place a call using the speakerphone, press SPEAKER and begin dialing after you hear the dial tone.  The
red speakerphone indicator light is on whenever the speakerphone is being used.  When you finish with the
call, press SPEAKER again to hang up.

If you are using the speakerphone, you can switch to the handset at any time by lifting the handset.

If you are using the handset, you can press SPEAKER at any time to activate the speakerphone.  The
handset is turned off automatically and you can return it to the base without disconnecting the call.
