Warning!
Diminished fire protection function may result in life-threatening danger, risk
of injury, and property damage:
Fire doors prevent fire from spreading and are
tested as a complete unit with accessories:
· regulations established by inspection authorities must be complied with,
· the certification of the door must match the lock,
· consult the door manufacturer if the lock is to be replaced and a different model
is to be used or a lock is to be retrofitted,
· the door manufacturer’s specifications must be observed,
· the installed lock must be the appropriate size.
Important!
Property damage caused by work on the door leaf:
The lock must be removed
for any work on the door leaf, such as drilling or cutting.
Impaired function due to incorrect rebate gap:
The rebate gap (“Explanation of
terms”, page 24) must be suitably adjusted (“Technical data”, page 32).
Improper handling during transport can cause material damage:
The door leaf
must not be lifted or carried by the door handles.
Damage caused by opening:
Opening the lock will damage it and void the war-
ranty (“Warranty”, page 33).
Property damage from painting:
Do not paint the lock or striking plate, or coat
