Bedside Extension Module Connections

(1) 6-pole connection to the NUBM3 Bedside module

Connecting the Extension Module
The extension module also supports devices with call button
capabilities, such as multimedia terminals, or a third-party TV
call buttons with a reassurance LEDs. The devices connect to
the extension module’s 4-pole auxiliary terminal block. See
Previous Figure, item 3 above.
Extension Module’s Four-Pole Auxiliary Connection
The extension module receives audio signals from the TV via
a Television Interface module connected to a TV. The
extension module connects to a Television Interface module
with a CAT 5/5e/6/7 cable. The cable attaches to 4-pole
terminals on the extension module and the Television
Interface module. See Bedside Extension Module Connections
figure, item 2.

Bedside Extension Module Installation
The module can mount to a backbox, or to a wall by using a
surface-mounting spacer (NUSP1-HE).
To mount the module on a backbox or spacer:
Note: When using a backbox, loosen the screws on
the backbox so that approximately 5mm (.2in.)
extend out from the backbox and the heads of the
screws can pass though the key-hole slots of the
adapter plate.
Note: When using a spacer, ensure the spacer is
properly mounted to the wall and that the adapter
screws are available.
1. Place the adapter (with the arrow facing up) over the
backbox or spacer and ensure that it is level. See
following figure.
2. Tighten the screws.
3. Pull the cables from the backbox or spacer though
the adapter.
To mount a spacer to a wall:
1. Place the spacer against a flat wall and orient it so that
