Clean the cooking zones several times daily, especially at the end of the working day. A little washing-up
liquid and a damp cloth are sufficient for slight soiling. If the soiling is somewhat heavier, first remove the
coarse deposits from the cooking zone using the glass ceramic cleaning scraper. Then clean with fine
scouring liquid, a coarse scrubbing brush or with soap-filled steel shavings (e.g. AKO pads, Abrazo).
Under no circumstances should plastic sponges with embedded sand grains or steel wool be used. Sand
grains from cleaning salad or peeling potatoes that get onto the ceramic plate can cause scratches when
pots and pans are moved back and forth. Wash off with copious quantities of water.
Any grey film (lime scale) occurring can be removed with dilute vinegar solution or surface descaler.
We recommend the following aids:
MCC 558 Surface descaler
MCC 559 Spare blades for glass ceramic cleaning scraper
MCC 560 Glass ceramic cleaning scraper
MCC 561 Conditioning agent for glass ceramic hobs on ranges
Top plate
With stubborn dirt, spray a commercially available stainless steel cleaning agent
1
onto the top plate
and let it take effect for about 10 - 20 minutes. Then clean with a coarse sponge and wipe out with
clear water. Do not flood the top plate – wipe it out with cloths.
Oven
The supports at the sides for the containers can be unscrewed, taken out and cleaned in the
dishwasher. The oven floor can also be removed.
Spray the grids and surfaces of the oven with commercially available stainless steel cleaner (1) or oven
cleaner. Spray on, close the oven door and leave for 10 to 20 minutes to take effect. Then clean with a
coarse sponge and wipe out with clear water. Leave the oven door open after the cleaning to allow
ventilation.
1
ATTENTION
! The cleaning agent to be used must be free of chlorine and fluorine compounds as these
halides can attack even high-quality stainless steel.

Clean the appliance thoroughly. Dry out the oven completely before the doors are closed. Disconnect the
