Cooling the epidermis
To avoid unwanted side-effects, the effective cooling of the epidermis is necessary (particularly
important for dark skin types because of their melanin absorption).
The skin cooling system of the MeDioStar is integrated in the handpiece. The contact of the
epidermis with the cold metal probe is extremely effective due to the high thermal conductivity
(8 times better than a sapphire-based cooling mechanism). Moreover, the cooling temperature of
the skin cooling system is automatically controlled at any point of time.
