12.7.4. CV/Gate settings
This is where you select the electrical behavior for the Control Voltage connectors.
Here’s a quick reference chart for these parameters.
Parameter
Range/Values
Description/Function
Note Priority
Low, High, Last
Specifies which played note will change the voltage output
Envelope Retrig
Off, On
Toggles between Legato and Retrigger responses
Velocity Range
1-10
Defines the voltage range of the Velo patch bay jack
Pressure Range
1-10
Defines the voltage range of the Mod patch bay jack
V/Oct Base Note Pitch
Full MIDI range
Sets the center reference point for the KBD patch bay jack
Now we’ll take a look at each of those parameters.
12.7.4.1. Note Priority
In the event that more than one note is played on the keyboard at the same time, this
parameter determines whether the pitch will be derived from the highest or lowest note
played. This also affects the KBD output at the KBD patch bay connector.
This also tells the MiniBrute 2 which note from a polyphonic sequencer track or keyboard
will be interpreted as the one it should play.
The "Last Note" setting is a combination of the two, as it will allow any new note to change
the pitch.
12.7.4.2. Envelope Retrig
If this parameter is set to Off, notes that are played in a Legato manner will not retrigger
the envelopes. The "On" setting means that each new note will retrigger the envelopes from
their attack stages.
12.7.4.3. Velocity Range
This determines the change in voltage that will be generated by the full velocity range of the
keyboard. It affects the Velo patch bay jack.
