– One USB 3.0 port is connected between each PCH and the top card edge (internal)
USB connector,

LPC (Low Pin Count) Bus
– This interface is used between edge connector 2, PCH, and CPLD.
– This interface is connected to the MaxCore server through the edge connector 2.
– Speed of LPC interface is 24MHz.

Ethernet Communication
– One GbE port is connected between each Skylake PCH and the second card edge
connector through I210 device.

System Management Logic
The System management Logic (SML) is a low speed connection for low
power state mode for manageability communication.

System Management Bus
The System Management Bus (SMBus) is used as interface between devices.


C interface is connected to the inlet and outlet on-board temperature
sensors.
3.7.2.2 SVID
The Serial VID or Serial Voltage Identification (SVID) is a 3-wire digital interface used to transfer
power management information between the Master and Slave. In SharpStreamer Pro, the
processor acts as a Master and the voltage regulators act as Slaves for this SVID interface.
3.7.3 Boot Controller
The boot controller is responsible for managing the boot process. The boot process loads a
boot image that is stored in 128 Mbit on-board SPI FLASH connected to each PCH device.
