3.4 Checking operability
The efficiency of TOP-PAD-IP2 should be tested in three phases.
3.4.1 Initialization test
−
disconnect the Ethernet interface cable from the RJ-45TOP-PAD-IP2 socket or
disconnect the external power adapter;
−
pause for about 10 seconds to completely discharge the filtering power supply
tanks in TOP-PAD-IP2;
−
apply power to TOP-PAD-IP2 again, make sure that the remote control is
successfully initialized as described in
3.4.2 Checking acoustic path
The acoustic path is checked by trial communication sessions with subscribers, the work
with which is programmed, while the volume of the built-in speaker, the clarity and
intelligibility of speech are subjectively controlled both when transmitting a voice message
and when listening.
If necessary, the volume level of the built-in speaker and handset is adjusted using the
virtual sliders, programmed keys with the local function “Increase Volume”, “Decrease
Volume” or using the IPN Config Tool.
3.4.3 Function keys test
For check FK operability, it is necessary to touch the keys one by one, requesting
subscribers assigned to them in the IPN Config Tool configurator, or to check the other
functions assigned to the keys.
If necessary, it is allowed to change the configuration of the product, which is made
from the IPN network administrator's PC.
