3 MAINTENANCE
3.1 General guidelines
Maintenance shall be carried out to ensure the module fault-free performance and
instant readiness for use. Maintenance is carried out once a year without the product being
disconnected.
3.2 Safety precautions
During maintenance, observe safety precautions according to general and local
“Occupation safety rules when operating electrical installation”.
3.3 Maintenance procedure
Maintenance includes as follows:

Inspect DWEx enclosure visually, no mechanical damages (cracks, dents, etc.) on
the enclosure, cover or controls are allowed;

Inspect cables attaching to DWEx (it should not be squeezed and damaged);
−
Dust and dirt removal from the unit surface. Depending on the degree of
contamination, for DWEx surface cleaning you can use a damp sponge
impregnated with a mild soap solution, or modern chemical reagents for
cleaning and protecting equipment at facilities with corrosive gases and vapors
of chemicals;
−
Check product mounting on-site operation and external connectors clampings;
−
Check reliability of connection to cable connectors – cables should not be
tensed;
−
Clean, if necessary, terminal strips and the board from dust by air flow (dirt
cleaned by air flushing shall not get into other units) with DWEx enclosure cover
being removed;
ATTENTION: DWEx COVER REMOVAL AND AIR FLUSHING ARE ONLY ALLOWED
IF DW ECHANGE IS DEENERGIZED!
Approximate maintenance time is 0,5 hour.
All actions carried out on the product, defects found and negative findings of the
maintenance shall be recorded in the special logbooks.
