Caregiver Obligations
Caregiver obligations shall be carried out by person-
nel with sufficient
Prelude
knowledge following the
instructions in this
IFU
.
Every day
•
Disinfect.
Before using the disinfection system
check that there is an ample supply of disinfectant
in the disinfection bottle. (Figure 1.)
•
Visually check all exposed parts
- Check where personal contact is made by either
the resident or caregiver.
- Check transfers and joints.
- Make sure no cracks or sharp edges have
developed that could cause the resident or
caregiver injury or that has become unhygienic.
- Clean the
Prelude
and its plastic parts.
- Replace damaged parts.

Perform a functionality test
Check the sliding function of the chair and test the
fitting of the splash guard.
Every week
•
Visual check of pipes and connections
Examine shower and panel hoses so that no leaks
occur.
•
Visual check the safety belt
Check the complete length for fraying, cuts,
crack, tears, that no inner fabric is showing and
that no other damage is visible. If the safety belt is
found damaged, replace it.
Yearly
The
Shower & Disinfection panel
has to be serviced
according to the
Care and Preventive Maintenance
schedule by qualified personnel.
