Disinfecting Prelude
Always follow these 18 steps for proper
disinfection.
Use the ArjoHuntleigh
Shower & Disinfection
panels
for disinfecting the
Prelude.

Put on protective gloves and glasses.

Open the panel door and check that the dis-
infectant bottle has an ample supply of dis-
infectant and that the hose is connected to
the suction part.

Remove all plastic parts from the chair and
place them at the bottom of the
Prelude
:
•
Lift the seat insert straight upwards.
(See Fig. 2)
•
Remove the seat halves by pressing from
the outside and lift on the inside.
(See Fig. 3)
•
Remove the back rest by turning it upwards
and then pulling it straight up.
(See Fig. 4)
•
Remove the safety belt.

Detach the disinfection spray handle from
the hook.

Open the disinfectant control as far as it will
go and set the temperature control as low as
possible.

Check the level of the disinfectant.

Spray disinfectant in the
Prelude
while
keeping an eye on the flow meter.

Check the mix ratio on the flow meter so
that it is in accordance with the setting range
stated in this
IFU
.

Adjust water temperature so that the disin-
fectant mixtures reaches approximately 20°
C (68°F).
10 Make sure to spray both sides of the plastic
parts located at the bottom of the
Prelude.
Also spray the safety belt.
(See Fig. 6)
11 Use disposable cloths or paper towels to
scrub the
Prelude,
safety belt and plastic
parts.
12 Clean the toilet with a toilet brush.
13 Close the disinfection control and put back
the disinfection spray handle.
14 Allow a disinfection time according to the
disinfectant instructions.
15 Grab the shower handle and open the
shower control.
16 Rinse with cold water until there are no
visible remains of the disinfectant.
17 Use the flush function if the
Shower &
Disinfection panel
is equipped with a flush
valve or a flush button.
18 Wipe the
Prelude
dry with a clean cloth or
towel to remove excess water.
