From wheelchair (10 steps)
Alenti
is compatible with most generic
wheelchair models.
For a resident to be able to move from a
wheelchair to
Alenti
and vice versa, the resi-
dent must be strong enough to move himself
or herself sideways and/or be able to stand
up
(see Fig. 1)

Apply the brakes on the wheelchair.

Fold back the
Alenti
hand rest-handle
arm.

Position and lower the
Alenti
seat so that
it is lower than the wheelchair seat.
(See Fig. 1)

Activate the brakes on
Alenti
and ensure
that they are locked.

The resident can now move himself or
herself from the wheelchair to
Alenti.

Fold forward the
Alenti
hand rest-handle
arm so that the resident can hold on to it.
WARNING
To avoid falling during transfer,
always ensure that the brakes are
applied on all equipment being
used.
Make sure the resident is in an upright
position in the centre of the seat with his
or her:
•
buttocks at the back of the seat,
•
back against the back rest and
•
hands on the hand rest.

Secure the resident with the safety belt.

Adjust
Alenti
to an ergonomic height for
the caregiver and safe for moving the res-
ident.
10 Release the
Alenti
brakes.

WARNING
To avoid falling, make sure that
the resident is positioned cor-
rectly and that the safety belt is
being used, properly fastened
and tightened.
WARNING
To avoid resident falling out of
the device, make sure that the
arm rest are folded down during
transfer.

WARNING
To avoid the resident from fall-
ing, always ensure that the
device is in the lowest possible
position before attempting to
transfer, dress or undress the
resident.
