This will ensure that all cameras are adjusted for good recording quality. If White-Out is observed, the
camera lens is not correctly adjusted. Correctly adjust the lens. White-Out is a common term for an
over bright or washed out looking picture.
Test the VCR Vext switch pulse connection to the unit (if connected) by setting the unit to Record
mode, and then changing the VCR record speed on the VCR front panel (not on the unit’s switches).
As the speed on the VCR front panel is decreased, the unit’s front panel’s VEXT LED will blink more
slowly.
Cameras Not Connected
On power up, the ATA-4/9 CSqX/MSqX automatically senses which cameras are not active (not
connected), and it does not include such cameras in the record list, and the default sequence list.
(Refer to Section 2.2, page 2-7 for the procedure to add a camera to the system at a later stage.)
