3. installation
Once the appliance has been temporarily postitioned on the
wall, insert the elbow into the socket and rotate to the required
position.

Either using the dimensions in Fig. 2 or physically marking the
corresponding wall, remove the appliance from the wall and
drill a Ø 105mm hole for the fl ue.
Refi t the appliance to the wall and proceed as follows:
1. Ensure the Ø60mm lip seals are correctly fi tted to the
inner fl ue elbow;
2. Attach
the
fl ue elbow to the appliance fl ue spigot and
rotate the fl ue elbow to the desired position;
3. Insert the fl ue through the hole in the wall and connect
the fl ue to the elbow ensuring that the inner fl ue engages
into the elbow by 23mm
4.
Ensure that the outer air duct protrudes through the wall
a minimum of 20mm to ensure that the outer fl ue seal
can be attached;
5.
If the fl ue is too long, measure the distance to be cut off;
6.
Remove the fl ue and cut to length;
7.
Cut the inner fl ue to length, ensuring that the inner fl ue is
23mm longer that the outer fl ie;
8. When cutting the fl ue, ensure the cut is square and
remove all burrs;
9. Insert the fl ue through the wall and slide the inner
decorative collar on the fl ue pipe;
10. Connect the fl
ue to the elbow ensuring that the
inner fl
ue engages into the elbow by 23mm.

11. Secure the appliance and the fl ue pipe to the elbow using
the clamps, screws and seals.
12. When installing the fl ue, ensure it is installed horizontally,
or falling slightly away fgrom the appliance to prevent
rain ingress.
13. Make good the gap between the fl ue and the wall
14. Attach the outer wall seal to the fl ue.
3.9.2. Flue extensions
The fl ue may be extended beyond the terminal length up to a
maximum of 4 metres in a straight line.
When installing extensions, ensure the exhaust socket is fully
engaged and fl ue clamps securely tightened.
Ensure when extending the fl ue it is adequately supported
(Ariston recommend 1 bracket per extension). Also, ensure
that the fl ue is installed completely horizontally without
dipping or sagging at the joints.
When terminating the fl ue, ensure it is installed horizontally,
or falling slightly away from the appliance to prevent rain
ingress.
