• Pull the storage box out
• Open the 4 clamps and remove
the air filter cover.
• Remove the filter with the foam
element.
• Separate the foam element from
the filter and clean both parts
with soapy water.
• Put the foam element in a plastic
bag and pour in some air filter
cleaning solvent; then work the
solvent into the element.
• Slightly squeeze the element to
remove excess solvent.
• When the element is dry, put it
into the filter.
!! CAUTION !!
Never put oil into the filter or the
foam element.
• Place the foam around the air
filter and install the filter into the
air filter housing.
• Make sure that the air filter is
properly seated in the housing.
• Install the cover and secure with
the 4 clamps. Install the storage
box.
Vent hose and air filter housing
Periodically check the drain tube
for gasoline, oil or dirt accumula-
tion.
Diesel filter
(only 700 Diesel)
The vehicle is equipped with a
highly efficient Diesel filter. The
filter has to be changed periodically
according to the Service manual or
even more often, if the vehicle is
also used in winter.
Draining V-Belt cover
(Automatic transmission)
q NOTE
If the ATV has been driven through
water, the V-belt cover must be
drained of any water.
To drain the belt cover, us the follo-
wing procedure:
1. Place the ATV on a level sur-
face.
2. Remove the drain bolt from the
cover and allow the water to drain
out.
