MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
l
When the FUV is first driven after being washed,
press the brake pedal several times to remove
moisture from the brake pads.
Vinyl Care
The FUV exterior features vinyl film and graphics. Take
special care to avoid damaging exterior vinyl:
l
Do not use any polishing or wax products on matte
or textured films.
l
Do not allow cleaning solutions to soak and
immediately rinse with clear water.
Windshield and Roof
The FUV Windshield and Roof are made of high quality
clear polycarbonate, not glass. Clean with warm water
and a soft, clean cloth. If necessary, use a small amount of
liquid dish washing soap.
Never use glass cleaners on the Windshield or Roof.
Glass cleaners can permanently damage the
polycarbonate.
The following common liquids can damage the windshield
and roof:
l
Ammonia
l
Vinegar
l
Bleach
l
Citrus-based cleaners
l
Remove minor scratches with a polishing
compound specifically designed for use on
polycarbonate surfaces.
l
Do not use rain repellent products that are
designed for use on glass (i.e. Rain-X
®
).
A recommended rain repellent for polycarbonate
windshields is RainZip
®
by National Cycle.
