Zone 2 on screen menus when viewed from Zone 2 
 

The AV8 will supply a Composite or S-video feed to a Zone 2 location and will 
also provide a Zone 2 on-screen menu to the second location, below you will 
see an explanation of the menu and the various control options available.

Zone 1 Status    :   On
Zone 1 Volume  :   +0dB
Zone 1 Audio     :   CD

The current volume setting of Z2

The current Audio input Selected

The current Video input Selected

Allows any input to be dirrected to the Tape output

Allows any Analogue input together with video to be dirrected to the VCR output

Indicates the operation status of Zone 1 status will be seen a ON (in-use) of Off

Indicates the current volume level of Zone 1 and can be adjusted from Zone 2,
this facility can be locked out within the Zone 2 settings page of the full set-up menu.

Indicates and allows the adjustment of the audio selection within Zone 1, this
feature can be locked out within the Zone 2 settings page of the full set-up menu

Indicates and allows the adjustment of the Video selection within Zone 1, this
feature can be locked out within the Zone 2 settings page of the full set-up menu

 

 

AV8 and AV9 front panel Headphone output as Zone 2 monitor 

 

It is possible to monitor the Zone 2 audio output from the front panel 
headphone output. 

 

1. Press 

the 

Menu

 button <Not Hold>. 

 

2. 

Turn the volume control towards the right until 

Main Menu Screen 3 

can be seen

 

on the front panel VFD or Video monitor. See diagram 

below. 

 

3. Press 

the 

Down Arrow

 until the 

Headphone Out 

option is

 

highlighted 

now use the Volume control to select 

Zone 2,

 press 

Menu

 to exit and 

Store

Tip:

 This is also a useful feature when used to diagnose that a Zone 2 

source feed is operating even if no audio is heard within Zone 2 itself, i.e. the 
fault may be within the cabling loom to Zone 2.
