Follow these instructions to correctly connect
the SMS module:
1) Put a 9 volt non-rechargeable battery
(not included in the package) inside its
compartment.
Note: Using the battery becomes necessary
only for managing the module if there is a
drop in voltage, whereas the module relies
on the mains voltage for managing all the
other functions.
2) Put the SIM in its compartment.
ATTENTION:
The module must always be
turned off when the SIM is inserted; if
it is removed and the SIM is afterwards
put back in, it is necessary to reset the
module so as to once again go through the
initialisation procedure.
3) Connect the BUS cable to one of the sockets
on the power unit (as illustrated at the side).
Note: Do not by any means connect other
devices to the USB socket on the SMS
module. Not following this rule could
in fact cause irreparable damage to the
control unit.
4) Connect the mains power supply to one of
the sockets on the power unit (as illustrated at
the side) or to any electric mains socket.
NOTE:
If the power supply unit is con-
nected to one of the power unit sockets,
it is necessary to set a timer program that
keeps this socket active 24 hours a day.
5) Wait for the module to complete the initiali-
sation procedure, during which the module will
be unable to operate.
