Fig. 2:
Drainage fittings installed. The striped pipe behind is the flexible hose that connects the Eco
Runner 3700 to the hosetail on the bottom of the 25 mm rigid pipework tank connector.
Drainage fitting:
Locate the end of the 40/50 mm tank connector installed in the base of the
aquarium. Locate the round sealing ring found in the bag of fittings supplied with the system.
Connect the 50 mm hose to the tank connector and water inlet of the filtration system.
Inflow fitting:
Locate the short length of flexible rubber pipe. Attach this to the hosetail
at the
bottom of the 25 mm tank connector previously installed in the base of the aquarium. Secure with
stainless steel jubilee clip (included). Connect the 25 mm flexible hose to the water outlet
connection of the filtration system.
Please note that this aquarium is of German design and built to the highest possible standards.
However, the dimensions of some of the features are designed to work with German electrical
plugs, something that European Union regulations do not permit to be sold in the U.K. As a result it
is likely that you will want to remove the existing plugs from the components. To do so, feed the
wires through the hole located in the back left pane of glass in the sump and then reattach new
plugs. This does not invalidate any warranty for individual components supplied by Aqua Medic.
Aqua Medic does not supply this system with a heater. Depending on the place where the aquarium
is set up and the animals to be kept, one will need to be located in the aquarium glass sump to
ensure the stability of temperature.
The Anthias aquarium system is now
ready to be filled.
Please note
that the amount of overall flow required in this aquarium will depend upon the type
and quantity of livestock to be housed. The Eco Runner 3700 provides some flow (around 3,000
litres per hour) in the
Anthias
aquarium. Depending on the animals kept, additional current pumps
may be needed.
3. Lighting
Please consult the instructions contained in the packaging of the lighting system.
4. Filter system
The
Anthias
is equipped with one of our new filtration systems/sumps, either the fish station or
reef station (see separate manual provided).
