Safety and Installation
• The filter may only be connected to an electrical installation that complies with the legal
standards. An earthed circuit breaker (30mA) and socket are required. If in doubt always
consult an authorized professional.
• Both the Drum Filter and Controller Box should be placed on a dry, sheltered area. Never
place in direct sunlight.
• Always keep the plugs and cables free from moisture to prevent water seeping into the
Controller Box.
• The filter should only be operated when water temperatures are between 4-40C. The filter
should be disconnected when temperatures are outside of this range.
• Check the entire product including cables and included accessories prior to usage.
• Do not use the filter if there appears to be damage to any part of the product. The damage
should first be assessed by your dealer.
• The filter system should only ever be switched on when sufficient water is flowing.
• Never look directly at the UV lamp. UV light can be hazardous to skin and eyes and can
cause bodily harm.
• Do not touch the UV lamp directly after turning the device off, allow adequate time for
cooling. (The UV-C unit will indicate when replacement is required).
• Switch off the filter system and Controller Box before opening the filter for maintenance.
• The filter must be protected from frost. The filter and the water within must never be
allowed to freeze. Ideal temperatures range from 6-32C. Outside this temperature range, the
filter material loses its strength.
