1.1 Mode of operation
Shut-off and change-over valves Delta SW4 are designed for use in
the brewing and beverage industries, dairy and food applications as
well as for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The valves are suitable for universal application and are
characterised by friendliness, their high mechanical reliability, and
great service.
The function of the Delta SW4 valve is to shut off and to change flow
direction.
Operation by pneumatic actuator with air connection, reset by spring
force.
By changing the actuator orientation, the following designs can be
realized:
NC: actuator spring-to-close (Normal Close)
NO: actuator spring-to-open (Normal Open)
The internal parts of the actuator are maintenance-free.
The cleaning of the internal area of the valve takes place during CIP
cleaning of the pipe system.
For pneumatic valve control, a control unit is installed on top of the
actuator.
In the control unit the yellow light diodes indicate the position of the
valve shaft.
Optional extras:
- Alternatively to the control unit, a support for proximity switches
with light diodes to indicate valve position can be installed on the
actuator.
- Fitting of the intelligent valve control system Valve-Net (field bus
technology) is also possible.
