Preparing electrical connections

2.1

Warning

!

The system must only be installed by skilled personnel
qualifi ed in compliance with the regulations of the country
of installation (CEI 64 - 8 / EN 60335-1... standards)
The metallic components of the structure (i.e. the gate and
pillars) must have an earth connection.

Prepare the electrical connection of the controller and

•

safety devices in accordance with the lay-out in

fi g.4

Please heed the warnings provided in this manual and
comply with the instructions attached to the installed
components. Prepare the cableways (external or buried)
up to where the devices will be installed.
The cableway joints to the box should be sealed to prevent

•

the entry of dampness, insects or small animals.

POWER SUPPLY: 230

(minimum section). The cable cross-section should be
calculated in accordance with the length of the line.

If it is necessary to use automation power supply cable
sheathing, apply this sheathing before connecting the cable
itself to the derivation boxes.

IMPORTANT! Always install, upstream of the line, a mains
switch which guarantees a multipole cut-off with minimum
contact opening of 3 mm (connect it to a 6 A differential
overload switch with sensitivity of 30 mA).

The command and control accessory devices and the

•

emergency button should be placed within sight of the
automation, away from moving parts and at a minimum
height of 1.5 m from the ground.

Gate preliminary checks

2.2

Warning

!

The gate structure must comply with current safety rules,
especially at points where there is a danger of crushing
or shearing.

The installer must realize all checks and relevant

•

interventions in order to assure that the gate features
comply with the construction and functional characteristics
of safety and sliding performance in accordance with the
current standards.
In particular the installer must control: horizontality and

•

perfect linearity of the guide; suitability of sliding wheels
(appropriated diameter; protected against derailment and
mounted on lubricated or sealed ball bearings; presence
of mechanical stops to limit opening and closing stroke.
