- Lubricate the seat of the intermediate gear with

the torque limiter on the flywheel cover.

- Align the water pump drive with a reference and

fit the flywheel cover as described in the Flywheel

cover chapter.

- Fit a new gasket on the engine crankcase.

- Check that there are 3 centring dowels.

- Turn the crankshaft in order to align the counter-

shaft drive with a reference mark on the crankcase

(see figure).

- Repeat the alignment for the water pump shaft

using the same reference mark on the cover.

NOTE

THIS ARRANGEMENT IS USEFUL, ESPECIAL-
LY FOR OPERATIONS WITH THE WATER
PUMP COVER FITTED.

- Fit the flywheel cover on the engine, paying attention to avoid interference between the stator and

rotor.

WARNING

FAILURE TO OBSERVE THIS RULE MAY RESULT IN BROKEN CERAMIC MAGNETS.
