AMI BIOS Utility

Onboard Parallel Port

This  parameter  allows  you  to  select  the  address  for  the  parallel  port.  The

available 

settings 

are 

Auto,  378h,  278h,  3BCh, 

and

Disabled

.  Selecting 

Disabled

 deactivates the parallel port.

PARALLEL PORT MODE

This  parameter  specifies  the  parallel  port  mode. 

The  mode  options  are

Normal, EPP,

 and 

ECP

.  The default is 

Normal.

PARALLEL PORT ECP DMA CHANNEL 1

This parameter is  configurable only if  the Onboard Parallel Port is  NOT  set  to

Auto

.  and  the  Parallel  Port  Mode  is  set  to 

ECP

.  This  allows you  to  set  an

ECP DMA channel for the parallel port function.  The selections are 

0, 1

, and

3

.

Make sure that your system board ECP DMA
setting  and  the  Parallel  Port  ECP  DMA
channel setting are the same.

Onboard IDE

This  parameter  enables  or  disables  the  IDE  device(s)  connected  to  your

system. 

The  selections  are 

Primary,  Secondary,  Both 

and

Disabled
