Troubleshooting
Verify th at you ar e using t he correct power c ord/adapter. Don’t us e t he power
adapter with DC output higher than the power ratings of the equipment.
Select t he pr oper U TP/STP c able t o c onstruct the user n etwork. Use uns hielded
twisted-pair (UTP) or shield twisted-pair (STP) cable for RJ-45 connections: 100
Ω
Category 3, 4 or 5 c able for 10Mbps c onnections, 100
Ω
Category 5 c able for
100Mbps c onnections, o r 100
Ω
Category 5 e/above cable f or 100 0Mbps
connections. Also be sure that the length of any twisted-pair connection does not
exceed 100 meters (328 feet).
Diagnosing LED Indicators:
To assist in identifying problems, the switch can be
easily m onitored t hrough pan el i ndicators, w hich describe c ommon pr oblems the
user may encounter and where the user can find possible solutions.
If the power indicator does not light up when the power cord is plugged in, you may
have a pr oblem with power cord. Then check for loose power connections, power
losses or surges at power outlet. If you still cannot resolve the problem, contact the
local dealer for assistance.
If th e L ED indicators ar e n ormal and t he connected c ables ar e c orrect b ut t he
packets s till c annot be t ransmitted, p lease check the user system’s E thernet
devices’ configuration or status.
