MAINTENANCE
1.
Turn off the convector fan. Pull out the plug.
2.
Dry off the outside of the fan with a dry, soft cloth. Never use detergents or any form of
solvents when cleaning. Never spray insecticide onto the fan. There is major risk that the
fan will be damaged.
3.
If the convector fan is not going to be used for some time, run the fan for 3-4 hours so that
the inside completely dries out. Set the fan to automatic mode and the temperature on max.
4.
Clean the air filter as needed, but at least once every six months. Use the following
instructions:
– Lift up the fan’s front panel. Be careful not to lift the panel up too high as it can come
loose. Open the panel as far as figure 18 shows.
– Clean the air filter with a vacuum cleaner or rinse it under running water. If the air filter is
very dirty, you can wash it in lukewarm water with a small amount of washing-up
detergent.
– After washing with water, let the filter air-dry (in the shade).
– Reinstall the air filter (figure 18).
NB:
Never use water warmer than 50°C. This may lead to the filter becoming deformed. The air filter
should not be exposed to direct sunlight or heat whilst drying.
