Introduction

Landmark Cinema Quick Setup Guide

Each of these steps are covered in the subsequent sections of this document.

Landmark Cinema Components

Before planning your Landmark Cinema installation, you should familiarize
yourself with the Landmark Cinema components. This section introduces you to
these devices. More detailed User Guides for each device are found in the
Appendix of this document.

PMB-CF2 Mini Cardframe

The PMB-CF2 cardframe (Figure 1) holds two PHAST control cards. One is the
PLC-MCU Master Control Unit, which is essentially a computer that runs on the
Landmark Cinema's PhastLink network. The PLC-MCU runs the project code that
is stored in its 2MB on onboard RAM. The other card used in the Landmark Cinema
package is the PLC-IROUT IR Output card.

Connection to the other Landmark Cinema components (except for the Viewpoint
Touchpanel) is via a PhastLink cable that plugs into a PhastLink RJ-45 port on the
rear of the unit.

There are two PhastLink ports on the rear panel of the CF2. However, in a
Landmark Cinema system, only ONE of the two PhastLink ports is available for
use. The other PhastLink port must  be left unused. It does not matter which port
you use.

IMPORTANT!

DO NOT terminate the unused PhastLink port. This port is already

internally terminated when the CF2 is in "master" mode (when a PLC-MCU card is
installed). Refer to the PMB-CF2 User Guide for more detailed information.

Caution

Failure to comply with this

restriction will cause the

entire network to malfunction.

Refer to the PMB-CF2 User

Guide for more detailed

information.
