Design XPress User Interface Guide
Volume Control
is located on the bottom of the screen. It consists of volume up, volume
down, mute, and a volume bar showing the volume level.
The
Date and Time Display
always appears on the touch panel.
The outdoor temperature will only appear if an HVAC zone has been identified as
having an outdoor temperature sensor attached. If there is no outdoor temperature
sensor this field is blank on the touch panel.
This field also displays the temperature in the configured scale identified by a °C
(Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) after the temperature reading.
Music Pages
Press the
Music
button (or the top button if it has been renamed in the DXP project) on the
Main
page to open the Music page (FIG. 7). Press and hold an Audio Zone Selection button on for two
seconds to gain access to the Audio Zone Settings page (FIG. 8) for that zone.
The elements on the Music Page are described below:
Audio Zone Selection Buttons
: Use this set of buttons to select an audio zone.
Go To Source
: Press to access the main Control page for the source device associated
with the active audio zone.
• Weather
Press to access the Weather page (FIG. 27), where you can view current weather
information.
• Exit
Press to access the Logo page (FIG. 1).
The Volume Control buttons only work for the zone in which the touch panel is
configured. For example, if the touch panel is in the kitchen and you select the dining
room audio zone for control, you can change the source playing in the dining room.
However, the volume bar still only controls the kitchen.
This is a safeguard to prevent the possibility of blowing out a speaker in a room where
one cannot hear the audio but can control it.
