Scheduled Maintenance
WARNING
Make certain printer is disconnected from A.C. power supply before reaching into
the printer to perform any cleaning task.
CAUTION
Do not use any cleaners, solvents, or lubricants on any of the working parts of the
printer.
The only scheduled maintenance which can be performed is periodic cleaning
(approximately every 3 months). Use a vacuum cleaner with a plastic nozzle to remove dirt
from the carriage and the platen. A dry, lint-free cloth may be used to clean accumulated
dirt from the carriage rods and the platen. The top cover of the printer may be cleaned with
a commercial cleaner such as 409. Clean the access window with a soft non-abrasive cloth.
Do not use paper to clean the access window.
