7.6 Attach the flow switch evacuation fitting to the suction side of the ball pump assembly hose.
Insert the fitting into the input side of the flow switch assembly. Pump the ball pump to
evacuate the flow switch assembly this also allows the evacuation of the output side
plumbing of the flow switch. After this step is complete attach the flow switch evacuation
fitting to the output side of the ball pump and insert into the top of the flow switch. Then
insert a drain hose into the rear drain fitting located at the bottom left side on the back of the
unit. Ensure it is draining into a floor drain or equivalent container so as not to spill water in
the surrounding area. Pump the ball pump into the flow switch evacuation hose to drain
any remaining water trapped in the output plumbing line from the flow switch this will drain
out the rear drain fitting hose that is attached.
Note:
The Lytron Chiller module does not require “flow switch evacuation fitting” this special
tooling is for the Lydall Chiller only. The Lytron flow switch is of a flow through design and
following the proper steps
outlined here will effectively evacuate the Lytron Chiller Module.
