DATABASE INITIAL PAGE
When the correct passcode has been entered the database initial page is displayed as shown below. A cursor
consisting of square brackets identifies a particular patient record, and this may be moved through the
database using the
and
keys.
10.4
SOFTKEY OPTIONS
There are three pages available in the DATABASE mode which may be selected in turn by pressing the
‘More..’ softkey. The menu options are arranged over these three pages and are described below.
10.4.1
Get as prev
If it is required to compare a new test with a previous test this may be carried out by moving the cursor to the
required
“previous” test record and pressing the ‘Get as prev’ softkey. This will retrieve the previous record
from the internal database and return operation to TEST mode, allowing a new test to be carried out without
having to re-enter the patient details. This feature is of use when performing serial audiometry as it allows
print out of both the new and previous tests on a single audiogram. (See also the example in Section 10.5)
The original record in the internal database is not changed in any way.
10.4.2
Get record
Having moved the cursor to the required test record, pressing
the ‘Get record’ softkey will retrieve the record
from the internal database and return operation to TEST mode. This feature is of use if it is required to examine
a particular patient record, print the associated audiogram or transfer the data to a computer.
The original record in the internal database is not affected in any way.
10.4.3
Print data
Pressing
the ‘Print data’ softkey will allow printing of test data in one of the formats described below. A brief
message is displayed when requesting a print function.
Note: Printer initiation can take several seconds -
do not press the ‘Print data’ softkey again until the printout has been generated.
10.4.3.1 Print Summary
This function will print a summary list of records according to the selected filter requirements (see Section
10.4.4). Plain A4 paper should be used for this function.

This function will print extended details of records according to the selected filter requirements. Plain A4 paper
should be used for this function.
