1. Turn the shingle over to expose the reverse side. Then use a utility knife to cut each ridge cap piece.
Begin your cut at the manufactured cutout and cut at a slight angle toward the top of the shingle.

2. Place the first ridge cap shingle at the bottom edge of your roof ridge so that the black tar area
of the shingle is very near the roof edge. Ridge caps need to be centered over the roof seam.
3. Secure this shingle with one roofing nail on each side approximately 2” up from the roof edge.

‘Make’ your ridge cap shingles by cutting a 3-tab shingle into three individual pieces.
