GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR
OPERATING YOUR MACHINE
Please read this instruction manual and the warranty restricti-
ons carefully.
The machine must be connected to a plug fitted with a safety
fuse. The machine is to be cleaned on a regular basis by rinsing
out the drip tray, drip pan, METODO IPERESPRESSO capsule
holder and water tank.
VERY IMPORTANT: Never submerge the machine in water or
put it in the dishwasher. The water in the tank must be replaced
regularly. Do not use the machine when there is no water in the
tank.
After changing the water, put the tank into the machine taking
care to ensure that it is correctly positioned. We recommend
that the machine is descaled regularly – every 1 to 2 months –
using a special descaler for espresso machines – see section on
DESCALING
.
IMPORTANT: Each time that the machine is used without water
in the tank, it needs to be de-aerated. Insert the capsule holder
– without the coffee – and switch the machine on to remove the
air from the system.
