2 Description
The eFutureSafe offers additional safety to persons who
are driving a car whilst seated in a wheelchair, by support-
ing the head- and back in the event of an accident.
The main components of the eFutureSafe are:

the floor mount,

the B-pillar side support bracket (vehicle specific),

the pillar with drive,

the swivel arm,

the head- and back-supports,

the emergency release facility,

the control unit,

the operating controls and indicators.
The aim of this chapter is to illustrate the construction and
function of the eFutureSafe. To this end, the individual as-
semblies and components are described in the following
sections.
