Danger Zone
The danger zone is any area within the swivelling range of
the eFutureSafe, in which a person at risk of being injured
or harmed.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury through movements of the eFutureSafe.
There are a number of risks of personal injury if standing
within the danger zone.
Therefore:
Only operate the eFutureSafe if there are no persons
standing within the danger zone.

Safety devices
1.6.1
Indicator lamp
The indicator lamp lights up green when the eFutureSafe is
in the driving position (see Section 5.3, page 22).
The eFutureSafe is in the driving position when it is swiv-
elled forwards.
1.6.2
Overload cut-out
If the eFutureSafe hits an obstacle during the swivelling
process, the drive will sense the load and cut out.
1.6.3
Emergency release facility
The emergency release facility allows the eFutureSafe to
be swivelled to the park position if the electric drive fails.
This ensures that the wheelchair passenger can leave the
vehicle even if the eFutureSafe malfunctions. This also en-
ables the wheelchair passenger to be evacuated quickly if
the vehicle is involved in an accident.
After operating the emergency release facility, the eFu-
tureSafe must be rebuilt by experienced technicians.
