LITHIUM BATTERY (LIPO/LIFE/LIION/LIHV) PROGRAM
These programmes are only suitable for charging and discharging lithium batteries with a nominal voltage of 3.7V, 3.3V,
3.6V and 3.8V per cell. These batteries must be charged using a different charging technique called the constant
voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) method. The charging current varies depending on the capacity and power of the
battery. The final voltage of the charging process is also very important; it should be exactly matched to the charging
voltage of the battery. This is 4.2V for LiPo, 3.6V for LiFe, 4.1V for Lilon and 4.35V for LiHV. The charging current and
the nominal voltage as well as the number of cells set in the charging programme must always match the battery to be
charged.
CHARGING LITHIUM BATTERY AT BALANCE MODE
This function is used to balance the voltage of lithium-polymer battery cells during charging.
In balance mode, the battery must be connected to the charger with the balance cable in addition to the normal
charging cable. In this mode, the charging process differs from the normal charging mode. The charger's internal
processor monitors the voltages of the individual cells of the battery pack and controls the charging current supplied to
each cell to balance the voltage.
Note: We recommend that you only charge lithium batteries in balance mode.
The left side of the first line shows the selected battery type. The value on the
left side of the second line of the charger is the current set by the user. After
setting the current and voltage, press the START/ENTER button for more than 3
seconds to start charging.
