SAILING THE BINARY
Unlike propeller-driven boats that go where you steer, sailboats present a bit of a challenge. Sailing requires constant attention to
water movement, gusts and changes in wind direction. This then requires changes in rudder and sail to find the best possible
course. There is no substitute for actual experience on the water, and after your first outings, we may recommend reading this
manual again to gain a better understanding of the art of sailing. While you are learning to sail, it is a good idea to pick up as much
sailing terminology as possible. This will make it easier for you to understand some aspects.
