Single PRINT will send the data onto RS232 only once.
Continuous PRINT will send data onto RS232 continuously.
The PRINT key or the discrete input functionality depends on the current mode in which SI5500 is operating. Below table summarizes the same:

This Reading Prints Current Readings of all
displayed channels If in SCAN mode i.e. current display
is Gauging Mode result Screen, no
print occurs.
If in STATIC mode i.e. “Scan” option
is selected through Gauging Mode
result Screen, current displayed
channel reading is printed.
Prints Current Reading of the
displayed channel within limits.
If there is no channel within
limits, no information will be
printed.
When the unit is in
“acquisition phase” , the
currently stored readings
are printed.
When the unit is in
“analysis phase” , the
calculated result values
are printed.
Step Prints Current, max and min
readings of all the displayed If in SCAN mode i.e. current display
