62 MegaRAC® M300V Card Implementer’s Reference and User’s Guide
Possible UART Configurations
There are three possible configurations.
Configuration Description
1
MegaRAC M300V card not present. The motherboard’s serial connector behaves as normal.

MegaRAC M300V card is present and the MegaRAC M300V card is on SoL mode. The MegaRAC M300V
card’s UART0 signals are routed to the motherboards serial port connector.

MegaRAC M300V card is present and the M300V is in non-SoL mode. The motherboard’s UART0 TXD
and RXD signals are routed to the motherboards serial port connector through the MegaRAC M300V card.
MegaRAC M300V Card Not Present
MCARD_DETECT_L= Logic High
MCARD_AUX_SoL_CTRL_L= Logic High
All signals from the motherboard UART are routed to the motherboard’s serial port connector.
In this configuration the X4 De-MUX is from Y to B and the X5 MUX direction is from A to Y.
