HOW TO TRANSPORT THE CRANE
Before installation, the crane must be moved safely, in order to avoid falls and impacts with objec t s
and persons. During transport of the crane, the carrier must follow the instructions below:
•
The carrier is responsible for the crane and he must be qualified and authorized.
•
Use means of transport and lifting equipment and tools with adequate capacity.
•
Lift the crane using a lift truck, a crane or a bridge crane.
•
During transport by land and sea, fix the crane or its container to the mean of transport (body,
container, hold, etc.). Protect the crane from atmospheric agents. Never unpack the crane.
•
During transport the swivel bridge must be locked with the suitable swivel lock (see E.6).
LIFTING WITH A LIFT TRUCK
Ensure that the boom of the crane is facing the lift truck.
Insert the forks under the base in correspondence to the indicated arrows (see figure).
Secure the crane to the forks.
LIFTING WITH A CRANE
Insert a shackle in each suitable lifting eye on the 1.boom (see figure) and connect properly to a
hook. Make sure to limit the load oscillations.
