9.6. Cleaning of skull, neck and body
The skull, neck and body of the Ambu Man should be wiped over with
a cloth moistened in a mild detergent and then wiped over once more
using a cloth moistened in clean water.
When washing, never allow detergent or water to enter the skull, body
or instrument unit. If necessary, cover the connection between body
and instrument unit with a cloth.
Marks on the Ambu Man left by lipstick or a ball pen can penetrate
the material and should therefore be removed as quickly as possible
using alcohol.
9.7. Cleaning of clothing
The T-shirt worn by the Ambu Man is made of 100% cotton and is
washable at max. 60 °C.
The tracksuit of the full body model is made of 50% cotton and 50%
polyester and is washable at max. 40 °C.
9.8. Cleaning of carry bag
The carry bag can be washed in a mild detergent using a cloth or soft
brush, rinsed in dean water and then dried.

11. Computer and printer link-up
For more advanced instruction, those models which are equipped for
computer link-up can be used together with a computer.
For this purpose Ambu will supply an A/D converter which changes sig-
nals obtained from the Ambu Man into signals able to be processed by
the computer. Control and calculation software is also supplied for the
computer.
Link-up to data-processing equipment enables curve traces to be dis-
played on the computer monitor during rescue breathing and chest
compression.
Further information on the computer program can be found in the
Directions for use for the Ambu CPR Software Kit.
Models which are equipped with a computer link-up can also be con-
nected to an Ambu CPR Printer.
Further information about the printer can be found in the Directions
for use for the Ambu CPR Printer.
Both the computer and the printer are connected to the Ambu Man
via the plug at the side of the instrument.
