.
The cooling temperature can be set as follows:
0
The appliance is switched off
1
The lowest cooling level (the warmest)
2–4 Intermediate
settings
5
The highest cooling level (the coldest)
The energy consumption and the temperature inside the freezer can increase
at ambient temperatures outside the permissible range.
Do not load the freezer until the appliance has cooled down.
Before adding food, bring the temperature of the freezer down to the
coldest level 5.
Deep-freezing of food
Almost all types of food are suitable for freezing except vegetables which are eaten
raw, e.g. lettuce.
Only freeze food which is of high quality. Freeze food in portions for single use and do
not refreeze food which has defrosted.
− Place the food in odourless, airtight, moisture-free, greaseproof and leach-
resistant bags or containers.
• Polythene bags and aluminium foil are the most suitable materials.
• The food must be closely wrapped in airtight packaging.
• Do not use glass as a packaging material as the glass may break.
− Do not exceed the storage time(s) recommended by the food manufacturers
for any kind of food and particularly for commercially quick-frozen food in the
freezer.
