Appliance Preparation

5. Remove the two packaged bulbs from inside

  the HEPA filter.

6. Remove bulbs from packaging and screw into

sockets (Figure 3) attached to the cover.

CAUTION:

Do not use a tool to tighten the bulbs.

Only tighten by hand.  Tighten bulbs by grasping the

plastic base.  Do not grasp the glass tubes.

7. Carefully reposition the cover (Figure 4) over the

HEPA filter. Make sure cover is oriented as

previously installed and bulbs are not contacting

  any surface.

8. Secure cover with retaining screw.  Connect

interconnect cord.  Device is now ready for

 operation.

Operation

1. Unwrap the power cord and plug into the properly

  grounded outlet.

2.  Make sure the interconnect cord is connected to the

receptacle on the base unit and the receptacle on

  the cover above the fan.

3. Place the air mover in the desired operating position.

4. Set the switch at the desired speed: low or high.

Circuit Protection

The 250AP features a circuit breaker that will “trip” if

more than the rated electrical current is drawn through

the cord.  In addition, some models are equipped with

a duplex GFCI outlet. The GFCI protection promotes

operator safety and will “trip” if an electrical ground fault

is sensed. To test the GFCI protection, press the TEST

button. If operating properly, the RESET button on the

GFCI outlet will pop out.
